We launched our new development St Andrew’s View, Thursby at an exclusive, invite only event last week.
Interested customers were invited to visit the two show homes at Eden Gate, Houghton from 4-8pm to find out more about the development and take a look at the high quality homes to be built. The evening proved very successful with many people attending and three families securing their dream homes.
Sandra Pattinson, who works in the Countryside Access team for Cumbria County Council was the first to purchase a home on the development.
Sandra and her two daughters who already live in Thursby had wanted to stay in the village, but there were no homes that met their criteria.
“We were delighted when we heard about the development. The Hastings is going to be perfect for us, and we’ve started negotiations as to 
who is getting the en-suite bedroom “said Sandra.
The family have reserved a three bedroom Hastings, and will one of the first families to be moving in next summer.
Sales Manager Carreana Taylor said: “The scheme at Thursby has been really well received. We had a fantastic turn out to the launch event and we’re delighted with the level of interest even at this early stage.”
Construction of the high quality homes will get underway at the end of the year, with the first residents due to move in summer 2017.
The development will consist of 69 homes, and will boost the supply of much needed new homes and feature a stunning collection of bungalows, terraced, semi-detached and detached properties in a range of 2, 3, 4 and 5 bedrooms and offering up to 1,905 sq ft of living space. Find out more here
