St Benedicts High School football team has received a funding boost from award-winning house builder Story Homes.
The junior team have purchased a full set of new kit ready for the new season thanks to sponsorship from the developer.
Robbie Lambert Teacher of Physical Education said: “We offer football for all year groups, for boys and girls, where they compete in district, county and national competitions across all our age groups. Last year’s success was excellent, culminating with our year 11 boys’ team crowned County Champions and fingers crossed we’ll have the same success this year – and even if we don’t win the team look great! I can see they have a real sense of pride wearing their new strip.”
Story Homes has two developments based in Whitehaven, Wilson Howe and Edgehill and are dedicated to reaching out to the local community. The developer already has strong links with the school as their Sales Manager and Sales Executive for Wilson Howe both attended the school.
Susan Pollard, Sales Manager from Story Homes, said: “The school is an integral part of the community and we are thrilled to be able to offer our support. We wish them all the best and hope they have lots of fun this season.”
