Looking for more space for family life with their daughter Mollie, they discovered Elmbrook Park – where they went on to reserve a four-bedroom Wilson, a home that perfectly matched their needs for both modern living and long-term flexibility.
We caught up with them to hear more about why they chose Elmbrook Park, what they love most about The Wilson, and their experience of moving into a brand-new Story Home.
We had been thinking about moving for a couple of years, but it wasn’t until Easter 2025 that we began our serious search.
We wanted a modern home that wouldn’t require any renovation work. Being able to choose our own specification was really important to us, whereas with an older property there’s always a level of compromise.
We had been researching new build developments in the area online when we came across an advertisement for Elmbrook Park.
We were looking for a four-bedroom home and narrowed it down to the Wilson and the Sanderson. As there wasn’t a Wilson show home nearby, Emma, the Sales Executive, arranged for us to view a partially built version. We immediately loved the layout and the natural light created by the large hall window.
We ultimately chose the Wilson because we preferred the detached garage, and we really liked the flow of the open plan downstairs space. The bedrooms are all generously sized, and the garage is particularly spacious.
There are so many to mention, but the overall finish is exceptional. Our favourite features are probably the bi-fold doors and the rainfall showers.
We visited several other developments and show homes, but the build quality and design of Story Homes really stood out. The level of specification included as standard was also a key deciding factor for us.
We used the Home Move scheme, which worked really well for us. Once we knew which plot we wanted, we just had to wait for an offer on our existing home. The process was very straightforward, and Emma was incredibly supportive throughout, especially when we were anxious about potentially losing the plot before securing a buyer.
Amazing. From our first meeting with Emma in July 2025 through to moving in just a few weeks ago, the experience has been excellent. The Aftercare team have also been fantastic and have gone above and beyond to help us settle in.
