We’re shining a spotlight on our customer Jenifer Cooper who recently relocated to Cumbria whilst looking to downsize her home. She chose The Harper at Winchester Place in Brampton, finding that this 3-bedroom semi-detached home was the perfect fit for her, as well as being in an enviable location.
The Harper is a charming home featuring an open plan kitchen and dining area with French doors that lead out to the turfed garden. Plus, the main bedroom comes complete with a luxurious en-suite. We caught up with Jenifer to hear about her new home journey and find out why she chose a Story home.
Were you looking for a new build and what made you choose Story Homes?
“Initially I was looking at older properties, however, most needed a fair amount of money spending on them which would have meant dipping into my savings. Then I came across a Story home which offered so much more. The quality is excellent, and my new home has lovely, stylish finishing touches.”
Why did you choose The Harper and what are your favourite design features?
“I was originally looking for a bungalow but saw The Harper online and was very impressed with the style. I sold my previous house after three days, and five days later I travelled to Brampton for an appointment with the Sales Executive, Tracey Brown. I was so impressed with the location and the development itself that I decided to buy The Harper there and then, having decided it would be a more practical option than a bungalow.
Why did you choose Winchester Place in Brampton?
“I moved from Great Haywood near Stafford having been there for 40 years. Seeking pastures new I was looking to move to the North of England, initially looking at moving back to my roots in Yorkshire whilst retaining easy access to my family in Staffordshire, Scotland and Cumbria.
“Although I didn’t have anywhere particular in mind, I had a tick list of important factors when considering a new home and Brampton ticked all of the boxes with excellent facilities and transport links. It’s well placed for travelling around the local area as well as having easy access to the motorway for visiting family in the north and south. I love it at Winchester Place, the people are so friendly.”
What are you most looking forward to at Christmas in your new home?
“I imagine I’ll be spending Christmas with my family in Staffordshire but would be very happy to stay on my own in my beautiful and cosy Story home.”
Tell us about your experience with Story Homes?
“My first ever visit to Brampton was to see the Winchester Place development. The Sales Executive, Tracey, showed me around a partially completed Harper and as I looked around I thought “The Harper will do nicely for me!” – I loved it.
“I have told so many people, as well as family and friends, about the quality of Story Homes and in fact I think some of them are quite envious. One person even said that the only new build they would buy is a Story.”
