Home of the Year now available in the North East

August 2018

Earlier this year we announced the four-bedroom detached Taunton as our Home of the Year, and this house type has now been released for sale at developments in the north, south and central areas of the North East.

The Taunton has long been one of our most coveted house types across all of our regions. Its popularity with our customers for its external appearance and open, spacious layout made the Taunton the clear choice for Home of the Year.

It is now available at Brookfield Woods, Middlesbrough; Fallows Park, Wynyard; Paddocks View, Middleton St George; Dovecote Place, Newburn Road and Chancel Place, Longhoughton.

The Taunton features four bedrooms, lounge with bay window, light and airy hallway with skylight, and open plan kitchen/dining area spanning the width of the house. The kitchen/dining area is a key feature of the home all year round, but it really comes into its own in the summer with bi-fold doors leading to the paved patio and turfed rear garden, allowing you to bring the outside in and providing a great place for entertaining.

By designing a home with four bedrooms, open plan kitchen/dining areas rather than formal dining rooms, large driveways, and a traditional exterior appearance combined with contemporary interiors, we have ensured that the Taunton meets the requirements of a wide variety of buyers.

In addition, aspects such as the turfed gardens and fully integrated kitchens with quality appliances mean that residents can move in without having to carry out any work – this has increasingly been a key consideration among time-poor buyers, who do not wish to redecorate straightaway or have to commission any work before being able to live in the property.

Kayleigh Pinchen, Field Sales Manager at Story Homes, said: “The Taunton is a great example of how our experts have worked together to create a home that ticks all the boxes. It is consistently a best-seller across our developments and we are pleased to be able to offer plots of this house type for sale at a number of our North East sites.

“We have Taunton show homes open at Paddocks View, Middleton St George; Dovecote Place, Newburn Road and Chancel Place, Longhoughton, so wherever you are based in the North East you won’t need to travel far to see this beautiful home for yourself.”

We have a variety of incentives available on selected plots* – see the page of the development you are interested in for more information.
