Allerdale Borough Council have granted planning permission for our proposals to build up to 69 homes on land to the west of Matty Lonning, Thursby.
The development, will boost the supply of much needed new homes and make a positive contribution towards the supply of affordable housing in the area.
This high-quality and sensitive scheme will complement the existing character of the village and provide open space for use by the whole community, and will see £13,427 invested in the Jubilee fields play area to upgrade this amenity space.
St Andrews will feature a superb collection of 2, 3, 4, and 5 bedroom terraced, semi detached and detached properties offering up to 1905 sq ft of living space. As well as boasting a high specification throughout, the homes will feature attractive exteriors incorporating brick, render and stone, adding to the charm of the area and creating the stunning street scenes for which Story Homes is renowned.
There will also be an investment of £233,791 to build a new classroom at Thursby primary school and £71,250 will be invested to provide secondary school transport for a five year period.
Our proposals will also provide local contractors with opportunities to tender for work, and there will be knock on benefits for local supply chains and other local businesses and services.
