Leading the way with 4K technology

January 2016

Story Homes is one of the first house developers in the UK to offer potential customers 4K video tours of its show homes. 4K technology are literally real-life walk throughs where the camera is constantly moving allowing a better sense of what it’s like to be physically inside the house.

4K delivers four times as much detail as 1080p full HD, that’s eight million pixels compared to two million pixels.

What that means in terms of potential image clarity is more fine detail, greater texture and an almost photographic emulsion of smoothness. You’ve got to see it to believe it!

Hayley Blair, Sales Manager for Story Homes said: “We’re delighted to be working with local firm, Lakes Creative to help bring our beautiful homes to life using the latest new technology. John and his team from Lakes Creative have recently been filming at our show home at The Meadows in Lazonby which looks absolutely stunning.”

John McKeown from Lakes Creative said: “I was so pleased this year when Story Homes became a client and having produced a number of video tours for a range of their show homes across the North West and Scotland, I thought I would reward them by producing the videos in 4K from now on.

“Many people have 4K – also known as Ultra High-Definition – screens on their computers already and YouTube is widely accessible through Smart TVs and set top boxes such as Apple TV, so now people can get an incredibly realistic view of what it is like to own a Story Home.”
