We have submitted detailed proposals to build 110 high-quality new homes on land off Carleton Road, Penrith.
Our proposals would create a sustainable and integrated development that would make an important contribution to the district’s housing supply.
Planner, Adam McNally said: “We are seeking detailed planning consent for a new development of 110 homes on a site identified for housing allocation in the forthcoming Eden Local Plan. The scheme shall include 33 affordable homes for eligible local people, new connecting leisure walking paths and a complementary mix of 18 different house types and new landscaping.
“We are a multi-award winning developer and we retain a firm commitment and values on designing and building high quality homes and environments. As with all our schemes, the site at Carleton has been through an extensive design process. We have paid careful attention to the different forms of development and historic assets in the area and where possible included suggestions received by local persons and groups during a pre-application process. We have also produced a masterplan to illustrate how the wider proposed allocated housing area may come forward as an integrated and sustainable development.”
The proposed development would deliver a mix of 2, 3, 4, and 5 bed, terraced, semi-detached and detached dwellings, and up to 30% of these new homes will be affordable.
Full details of the application will be available to view at Eden District Council website using application no 17/0408. A decision on the application is anticipated in August 2017.
