More than half of the homes on the first release of our Dovecote Place development have been sold within four months of its launch.
We had plans approved to build 70 new homes on Newburn Road in February this year, and released the first homes for sale in March. Since then we have received a high level of interest in the development, with sales so far exceeding expectations.
Dovecote Place features a collection of two, three and four-bedroom family homes across a range of eight house types.
As well as making a positive contribution to the area’s housing supply, the scheme will include the creation of landscaped areas for the benefit of residents, and will support the employment of more than 300 people.
Lyndsey Walton, Sales Manager at Story Homes, said: “We expected Dovecote Place to be popular, due to the quality and finish of the properties and the development’s proximity to Newcastle. The location is ideal for buyers looking for the benefits of semi-rural living, while being close to local amenities and having excellent transport links into the city centre.
“We are known for producing high quality properties that are finished to a high specification, with features such as turfed gardens, bi-fold doors, paved patios and extensive tiling included as standard, and we’re pleased to be bringing these to families who are looking for a new home in this area.
“We are delighted with how well the development has sold so far. The amount of homes reserved in just a few months suggests that this high demand is set to continue.”
